PSAT Day for 9th, 10th and 11th
January 26, 2021 @ 8:15 am - 1:15 pm
Arete Prep will be holding the PSAT/NMSQT for 9th, 10th and 11th grade students on campus.
No hot lunch or snacks will be available due to to testing in the gym.
Students who have lockers on the 2nd floor between rooms 209 and 200 will not have access to their lockers after 8:10am. To access and leave the science rooms, students will need to use the stairs in the courtyard.
9th, 10th and 11th grade room assignments for test day can be located in front of the college counseling offices.
The test begins promptly at 8:20am. Students are asked to be on campus and in their assigned rooms by 8:15am.
All Distance Learning students in 9th, 10th and 11th grade were sent an email regarding details and an RSVP. Please contact Ms. Arguello at rarguello@areteprepacademy.org if you have questions. Distance Learners are to check in at the prep side entrance, will have their temperature taken and will find their room assignments on the college counseling office doors.
All students should be in uniform, wear a mask and have their test materials with them (i.e. water, snack, #2 pencils and approved scientific or graphing calculator) before entering the test room.

Great Hearts College Symposium - Virtual Event (Juniors Only)

Great Hearts College Symposium will be held virtually this year. Details are underway.
This event is for Juniors only. College Counseling will be hosting students on campus at 8:30am in preparation for a 9:00am event start time.
Details regarding the GH College Symposium will be sent directly to Juniors and Junior families by email from College Counseling.

High School Preview Night (for current 8th grade students and new enrollees)

High School Preview Night is for current 8th grade students and new enrollees into high school. This event provides families and students with an overview of our high school curriculum, including information regarding high school language selection, Humane Letters, athletics, clubs and College Counseling.
This event will be virtual this year. A Zoom link will be provided to 8th grade families and new enrollees directly. Please contact Ms. Arguello, Lead College Counselor, for more information.

SAT School Day (for Juniors only)

The SAT School Day is an opportunity for Junior students only to take the SAT on campus. This event is offered to Arete Prep Juniors only.

Rising Senior Night - Class of 2022 (for Juniors only)

Rising Senior Night is an event for juniors and junior families only. During this presentation, teachers and counselors will present material to help your "rising senior" have a better understanding of the expectations and activities associated with senior year, as well as an event overview. Look forward to hearing about Senior Thesis, College Counseling re: college applications and timeline, as well as Senior Trip progress.
Senior Cap and Gown Pictures
April 20, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
- April 20 @ 9 am – Senior Cap and Gown Pic’s: this is a ¾ formal shot of seniors in their cap and gowns.
- Boys should wear their oxfords with a tie for the picture, girls should roll their collars down for the picture, unless they plan to have a collar show for graduation. Girls hair styles should be worn so the cap can be positioned correctly on their heads.
- (The correct angle of the graduation cap would be where the front tip of the mortarboard appears dead center on your forehead, between your eyes. The elastic band and tag should be centered on the back of the head. Do not tilt cap back, it should sit directly on top of your head.)
